Labor Compliance Specialist – Temporary Assignment

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee certified payroll for both internal self-perform projects and external subcontractors.

β€’ Provide comprehensive labor compliance support across the organization.

β€’ Analyze public contracts and relevant private contracts to ensure adherence to labor requirements.

β€’ Collaborate with project teams and departments for compliance monitoring, reporting, and submissions to agencies.

β€’ Conduct regular audits of project compliance.

β€’ Create risk assessments for Compliance Programs.

β€’ Stay updated on pertinent laws and regulations that impact company policies and procedures.

β€’ Engage in third-party and government reviews, audits, and inquiries.

β€’ Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

β€’ Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors.

β€’ Deliver labor compliance training to stakeholders, program staff, and contractors.

β€’ Examine and validate payroll records, benefit statements, employer training contributions, and apprenticeship documentation.

β€’ Request any missing or revised documentation and communicate with contractor personnel.

β€’ Utilize LCP Tracker and other compliance monitoring tools to review and authorize certified payroll and payroll documents.

β€’ Compile data for third-party information requests.

β€’ Draft payment request letters and follow up with third-party requesters.

β€’ Perform additional related tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ At least three years of experience with Public Works Labor Compliance Programs and/or Project Labor Agreements.

β€’ A Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree from an accredited college or university in business or a related field is mandatory.

β€’ Proficient in prevailing wage enforcement, analysis, and auditing skills.

β€’ Understanding of employment practices within the construction industry and state labor regulations.

β€’ Experience in implementing procedures and coordinating with both internal and external departments.

β€’ Capable of working independently with accuracy, strategy, and resourcefulness.

β€’ Ability to collaborate across the organization and provide compliance guidance to teams and senior management.

β€’ Proficient in PC applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.

β€’ Strong interpersonal skills and a professional telephone demeanor.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including business writing proficiency.

β€’ Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
