This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Lead the qualification, assessment, and selection of suppliers specific to programs.
• Assess supplier capabilities, historical performance, and flow-down requirements.
• Supervise independent evaluations of supplier quality and technical performance.
• Implement and maintain APQP and statistical process control techniques across the supply base.
• Collaborate with Programs, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive strategies for supplier execution and meet SBU objectives.
• Direct Root Cause Corrective Action initiatives for systemic or high-risk supplier challenges.
• Represent Raytheon in corporate sourcing and performance teams.
• Convert corporate initiatives into actionable plans at the supplier level.
• Manage technical and quality risks from suppliers impacting cost, schedule, and performance, accounting for over $10B in annual material sales.
• Cultivate, mentor, and develop a geographically and technologically diverse team.
• Act as a senior liaison with supplier executive leadership, customers, and corporate stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms and mediate differing viewpoints to address performance discrepancies.
• Propel Supplier Assurance strategies and enhance supplier capabilities across production technologies.
• Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning with suppliers to ensure adherence to technical, contractual, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure sufficient capacity at suppliers and their sub-tiers.
• Safeguard Raytheon production and minimize risks across programs and business operations.
• Evaluate success through the timely delivery of quality-assured products, First Article Inspection (FAI), first-time FAI yield, supplier quality performance, escapes, and Parts Per Million (PPM).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline and at least twelve (12) years of experience.
• Relevant background in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or other engineering domains.
• Fourteen years of experience working with APQP, statistical process control, RCCA, and additional quality methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace and defense or similarly complex industries.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one.
• Must reside and work within one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time to supplier locations as necessary.
