This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Spearhead the enterprise-wide strategy for licensing, permitting, regulatory compliance, and field licensing within Home Services.
• Define the vision, operational model, and governance structure for licensing and compliance initiatives.
• Formulate and implement long-term strategies for licensing and compliance.
• Supervise licensing operations while managing regulatory risks effectively.
• Oversee licensing administration, ensure permit compliance, provide field licensing support, conduct audits, and maintain regulatory readiness.
• Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, internal business partners, and service providers.
• Manage licensing and certification programs that support Home Services operations.
• Lead jurisdictional research and evaluations for market entry concerning new programs, services, and geographic growth.
• Direct audit programs, risk assessments, quality reviews, and compliance scorecards.
• Track compliance performance and implement necessary corrective action plans.
• Create enterprise reporting processes for maintenance, audit outcomes, and compliance trends.
• Supervise service provider licensing validation, qualification, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Manage field compliance programs, inspections, audits, provider assessments, and regulatory evaluations.
• Develop an enterprise licensing and regulatory compliance strategy, along with governance structures and performance metrics.
• Identify emerging regulatory risks, industry trends, and changes in legislation.
• Collaborate with Services Operations, Legal, Government Relations, Merchandising, Field Leadership, and Service Provider Management.
• Propel process redesign, automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead managers and associates tasked with licensing operations, compliance administration, audits, and field compliance.
• Set goals, performance expectations, development plans, succession strategies, and talent development initiatives.
• Oversee organizational design, staffing, budget, and talent planning.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in licensing, compliance, operations, regulatory affairs, risk management, or similar fields.
• At least 5 years of experience leading managers and large operational teams.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions.
• Experience with licensing, permitting, code compliance, contractor qualification, or service provider compliance programs.
• Familiarity with home improvement, construction, trade licensing, retail services, or regulated operational environments.
• Strong expertise in process improvement, automation, analytics, and compliance governance.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and lead initiatives across the enterprise.
• Knowledge of multi-state regulatory requirements.
• Experience in leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma and/or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• At least 5 years of previous leadership experience.
• Certifications: None required.
• Full-time employment.
• Virtual/multi-site work arrangement.
• Overnight travel is typically required for more than 50% of the time.
