This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the comprehensive strategy for licensing, permitting, regulatory compliance, and field licensing across Home Services.
• Establish a clear vision, operational structure, and governance framework for licensing compliance.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for licensing and compliance.
• Oversee all aspects of licensing operations, regulatory risks, process enhancements, audits, permit compliance, field licensing support, and readiness for regulatory changes.
• Act as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies, internal business associates, and service providers.
• Manage licensing and certification programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, municipal, and industry-specific regulations.
• Direct research into jurisdictions and market-entry evaluations for new programs, service offerings, and geographic growth.
• Lead audit initiatives, risk assessments, quality evaluations, compliance scorecards, reporting, corrective action plans, and root-cause analyses.
• Supervise the validation, qualification, monitoring, inspections, audits, provider reviews, and regulatory assessments of service provider licensing.
• Formulate an enterprise licensing and regulatory compliance strategy, governance frameworks, performance metrics, and scalable compliance solutions.
• Propel process redesign, automation, data analytics, and solutions powered by AI.
• Lead managers and associates in charge of licensing operations, compliance administration, audits, and field compliance.
• Set goals, performance expectations, development plans, succession strategies, and talent development approaches.
• Oversee organizational design, staffing, budget management, and talent planning within the licensing function.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in licensing, compliance, operations, regulatory affairs, risk management, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in leading managers and large operational teams.
• Proficient in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with licensing, permitting, code compliance, contractor qualification, or service provider compliance programs.
• Knowledge of home improvement, construction, trade licensing, retail services, or regulated operational environments.
• Strong expertise in process improvement, automation, analytics, and compliance governance.
• Proven experience in influencing senior executives and spearheading enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Understanding of multi-state regulatory requirements.
• Experience in leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma and/or GED.
