Director, Sales Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive the expansion and utilization of Ameriprise Bank's banking and cash solutions within a designated territory.

• Formulate and implement a sales strategy tailored to the assigned territory.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with both new and existing advisors through individual meetings, educational sessions, client events, and presentations.

• Assess advisor requirements, propose banking and cash management solutions, and promote product adoption.

• Collaborate with product teams, marketing, field leadership, and other business partners.

• Share insights on market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics.

• Travel within the territory for advisor meetings, training sessions, client events, as well as national, regional, and industry gatherings.

• Utilize proprietary tools, customer relationship management systems, and sales analytics to pinpoint opportunities and boost sales effectiveness.

• Oversee schedules, prepare for meetings, manage follow-up activities, budget oversight, and advisor recognition programs.

• Maintain all necessary licenses, registrations, and ensure regulatory compliance through relevant training and ongoing education.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in the financial services sector in a sales-oriented capacity.

• Comprehensive understanding of advisor business models, investment products, and financial solutions.

• Proven experience in selling deposit and lending products, such as checking and savings accounts, home lending solutions, securities-based lending, and credit card products.

• Active Series 7 license or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.

• Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or the ability to secure it within 90 days.

• Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or the capability to acquire it within 90 days.

• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Must reside within the assigned region.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management systems like Salesforce.

• Capacity to learn and promote proprietary products and solutions.

• Experience in applying consultative sales methodologies.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Competence in addressing large audiences and influencing and motivating diverse stakeholders.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while managing competing priorities and delivering results.
