This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform extensive outbound prospecting directed at RIAs throughout the U.S.
• Initiate relationships through cold calling, emailing, and utilizing LinkedIn along with other prospecting tools
• Conduct research on target firms to identify financial advisors, CIOs, investment teams, portfolio managers, and other key decision-makers
• Secure qualified introductory meetings and new opportunities for the RIA Business Development team
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential RIA relationships
• Execute consistent follow-up to engage prospects in active discussions
• Maintain records of prospecting activities, contacts, opportunities, and next steps in Salesforce
• Discover innovative methods to reach decision-makers
• Collaborate with the Head of RIA Business Development on target firms and the RIA growth strategy
• Prepare prospect research, account intelligence, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation
• Assist with opportunities through introduction, due diligence, and approval processes
• Coordinate with National Accounts, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams
• Track requirements, follow-ups, and subsequent steps throughout the sales process
• Enhance understanding of firms’ investment processes, alternative investment needs, and decision-making structures
• Foster relationships with advisors and stakeholders across the RIA ecosystem
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and advisor demands
• Collect market feedback to refine sales strategies, product positioning, and prospecting approaches
• Represent InvestX at selected industry events, conferences, and advisor meetings
• Contribute to establishing new RIA relationships and driving asset growth
• 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, wholesaling, lead generation, or distribution within wealth management, asset management, financial services, or alternative investments
• Proven track record in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and generating qualified sales leads
• Comfortable with actively prospecting and engaging with new contacts for a substantial part of the day
• Experience in building relationships from the ground up instead of solely managing an existing client portfolio
• Demonstrated persistence and resilience in handling rejection and following up
• Confident in engaging with financial advisors and senior investment professionals
• Skilled in researching firms, identifying opportunities, and determining pathways into accounts
• Competitive mindset driven by measurable goals and results
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in CRM use and pipeline management
• Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn from and support senior sales leadership
• Existing relationships within RIA or independent wealth management preferred
• Background in private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds, or other alternative investment products is preferred
• Experience with an asset manager, alternative investment manager, wealth management firm, or financial technology platform is preferred
• Familiarity with RIA due diligence and investment approval processes is preferred
• Experience utilizing Salesforce and sales prospecting platforms is preferred
• FINRA Series 7 and 63 or a willingness to obtain necessary licensing
• 2026 base salary range of $130,000–$160,000 USD
