This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
• Take ownership of the strategic data and systems architecture for Fundraising, encompassing pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting structures such as Salesforce.
• Establish and standardize Fundraising KPIs that align with the needs of Board reporting and long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with Fundraising Data and Tech counterparts to prioritize, implement, and approve shared initiatives.
• Create and institutionalize pipeline reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), reporting schedules, and operational processes.
• Develop revenue systems and processes in conjunction with Finance, Fundraising, and Donor Experience teams to facilitate scalable growth and ensure capital movement.
• Manage revenue reconciliation and recognition, tracking of pledges and receivables, restricted-fund coding, seamless handoff, and audit support.
• Oversee workforce and capacity planning for Fundraising alongside the Vice President.
• As the function evolves, lead a team of 3–5 professionals in fundraising technology and data, donor experience, and knowledge management.
• Act as the intermediary between Fundraising and Grants Management, Finance, Compliance, People, Legal, and other departments.
• Collaborate with the Vice President on strategy development, organizational changes, internal communications, decision-making, and priority setting.
• Prepare briefing documents and executive communications for senior leadership and Board members.
• Drive cross-fundraising initiatives including donor stewardship coordination, system launches, workforce planning, and market expansion.
• 8+ years of experience in revenue operations, business operations, or a chief-of-staff role, preferably within a fundraising, sales, or partnerships organization.
• Proven experience in building or owning CRM/pipeline systems (e.g., Salesforce), KPI frameworks, and reporting infrastructures utilized by multiple teams.
• Strong analytical operational skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and leverage data to inform decision-making.
• Demonstrated capability in managing cross-functional relationships and influencing senior stakeholders outside of a direct reporting line.
• Experience in managing people or workstreams, with the ability to define roles and structure as the function expands.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially for high-stakes internal and Board-facing documentation.
• Deep alignment with GiveDirectly's values, particularly regarding recipient choice, transparency, and evidence.
• An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Experience working with institutional donors or fundraising teams in Africa is a plus.
• Experience in establishing a BizOps or RevOps function from the ground up is an added benefit.
• Successful completion of safeguarding and pre-hire screening may include reference checks, criminal background checks, and sanctions screenings.
• Annual benefits stipend: $21,393 in the United States; £2,760 in the United Kingdom.
• Bonus at target performance: 15%, with the potential for additional upside.
