This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +21 more states.
• Manage and direct Revenue Cycle Operations, encompassing hospital billing, cash posting, claims processing, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, credit balance resolution, reimbursement, vendor oversight, and associated patient financial services.
• Develop, sustain, and oversee training programs, workflow standardization, and professional development initiatives.
• Recognize, implement, and continually enhance revenue cycle and patient account processes.
• Integrate revenue cycle functions into hospital systems workflows, including Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, claims, remittance, work queues, charge review, claim edits, denial trending, and productivity monitoring.
• Evaluate and monitor volume indicators, financial performance, and operational KPIs.
• Keep abreast of reimbursement methodologies, payer requirements, and contracts while ensuring compliance.
• Enhance the patient financial experience through effective billing communication, financial assistance, patient satisfaction programs, and point-of-service collection practices.
• Supervise the selection, training, oversight, performance management, cross-training, and succession planning for the Patient Financial Services team.
• Formulate operating and capital budgets and supervise cash management, adjustments, credit balances, reconciliation activities, vendor performance, and controls.
• Oversee outsourced revenue cycle vendors and strategic business partners.

• A minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment is essential.
• Preferred experience in progressive revenue cycle leadership within an acute care hospital or integrated delivery system.
• Demonstrated experience in managing or supervising patient accounts, billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denials, cash posting, claims processing, revenue recovery, vendor relationships, and operational improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Required knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Government, managed care, and Commercial Insurance filing regulations and reimbursement methodologies.
• Required experience with Epic revenue cycle workflows, including Resolute Hospital Billing, claims, remittance, work queues, reporting, or post-implementation optimization.
• Preferred certifications include Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, Epic Revenue Cycle Administration, Epic Cogito, or HFMA certification.
• Must comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Residency and work must primarily be in one of the following states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
