Director, Real Estate – East Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Identify, assess, acquire, and promote real estate opportunities within the designated Eastern region.

• Further enhance the existing real estate strategy and playbook.

• Independently identify and evaluate potential locations using market insights, field observations, and internal selection criteria.

• Analyze visibility, accessibility, area development, competition, traffic patterns, and zoning regulations.

• Conduct site visits, evaluate properties, and document qualitative assessments from the field.

• Assess trade areas and proposed purchase and lease sites.

• Oversee retail deal-making and land acquisition processes.

• Foster relationships with external brokers and developers.

• Report on acquisition pipeline and market trends to executive leadership.

• Monitor post-acquisition performance against projected returns.

• Create PowerPoint presentations and compile Real Estate Committee materials.

• Perform market and competitive analyses.

• Supervise the negotiation of letters of intent and contracts.

• Manage contractual terms and ownership relationships through to closing.

• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Development, and Construction teams to complete due diligence and secure necessary permits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, finance, or a related field is mandatory.

• Over 7 years of experience in real estate site selection, acquisitions, development, or brokerage, preferably in Development and Medical sectors.

• Demonstrated capacity to assess markets and site-level opportunities independently and convincingly.

• Preferred familiarity with the National Market.

• Strong negotiation abilities and skills in land acquisition.

• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and mapping/GIS tools such as CoStar, Buxton, Placer.ai, and Definitive Health.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• High integrity, discipline, and self-motivation; comfortable working independently in the field.

• Must live within 1.5 hours of a major airport.

• Willingness to travel multi-state up to 25% of the time.
