This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate partnership strategies for clinical trials and programs across various functions.
• Supervise strategic planning, coordination, and execution of assigned clinical study projects.
• Lead and manage Project Directors and Project Managers in global project and portfolio planning, implementation, and governance.
• Provide leadership and oversight on clinical programs.
• Act as the main escalation point for study sponsors beyond project management.
• Enhance the profitability of the Project Management organization in line with budget targets.
• Evaluate and manage resource allocations to achieve cost, time, and quality objectives.
• Select, mentor, develop, and evaluate the performance of Project Directors and Project Managers.
• Offer technical guidance on scope, risks, resources, goals, and deliverables.
• Identify and escalate issues affecting project scope, resources, schedule, or budget.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, project plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Development on opportunities, proposals, budgeting, and bid defense.
• Manage interdependencies between projects and programs to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Assess projects and implement changes, including recovery, rescoping, postponement, or cancellation.
• Measure and report KPIs while leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee staff workload and provide feedback, coaching, and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a science or health-related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in clinical research, including significant project management and line management experience, or demonstrated competencies.
• Proficient knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight trips.
• Familiarity with project management techniques and tools.
• Direct experience in a global, cross-functional project management setting.
• Proven track record in people management.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Ability to deliver intricate presentations to senior management.
• Established leadership history and effective interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management software.
• Extensive proven experience in pharmaceutical and/or device research.
