Director, Program Execution – Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Program Management, Technical Program Management, and Project Management functions for technology-driven programs, projects, and technical initiatives.

• Ensure that complex programs are executed with accountable leadership from start to finish across Product, Technology, Delivery, and various business and functional teams.

• Set expectations for integrated plans, critical paths, milestones, dependencies, RAID, decision-making, budgets, forecasts, governance, and accountability for outcomes.

• Intervene in cases of off-track work, challenge ineffective execution plans, and escalate systemic constraints as necessary.

• Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing talent pool in PgM, TPM, and PM roles.

• Deploy practitioners according to project complexity, cross-functional integration, technical coordination, and delivery risks.

• Establish practices for assignment, rebalancing, and capacity management.

• Create organization-wide standards for planning, governance, reporting, lifecycle management, requirements, and execution health.

• Promote the adoption, training, and continuous improvement of PLDC, SDLC, and AI-DLC practices.

• Standardize reporting for initiatives, status definitions, health indicators, executive reporting cadence, and escalation thresholds.

• Establish governance, RAID, decision management, and status/health standards.

• Conduct assessments of execution health and translate lessons learned into enhanced standards and practices.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and other functions within the operating model.

• Set governance expectations for significant technology changes, including decision forums, escalation paths, and evidence of readiness.

• Provide leadership with insights regarding execution health and capacity.

• Occasional travel to physical office locations may be required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in program management, project management, technology delivery, transformation execution, or related fields.

• Significant experience in people leadership.

• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional technology programs.

• Experience in managing a scaled PgM/TPM/PM organization or execution capability.

• In-depth knowledge of program/project governance, integrated planning, financial management, risk/dependency management, and executive escalation processes.

• Experience in establishing or enhancing SDLC/lifecycle, PMO, or execution management standards within a large technology organization.

• Must possess work authorization in the United States that does not currently or will not in the future require visa sponsorship.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Virtual interviews must be conducted via video; camera-on participation may be necessary.
