This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Convert strategic deliverables into comprehensive, actionable execution plans spanning design, technology, and content workstreams.
• Develop and sustain product roadmaps that link strategic vision to tactical implementation milestones.
• Establish sprint planning frameworks that align with strategic goals.
• Identify, monitor, and report on KPIs and OKRs.
• Recognize, document, and manage dependencies across various workstreams.
• Organize work to enhance parallel progress while honoring technical and creative dependencies.
• Highlight risks and obstacles impacting cross-team delivery.
• Lead dependency resolution meetings and ensure team alignment on critical path items.
• Act as the main point of contact with client stakeholders for scheduling, feedback cycles, and status updates.
• Oversee feedback collection, prioritization, and integration into sprint cycles.
• Facilitate decision-making processes with client leadership.
• Coordinate design and development transitions as Figma components are generated.
• Manage the progress of Storybook implementation and ensure design-development alignment.
• Monitor component development from design through implementation and testing phases.
• Ensure adherence to design system governance and quality standards.
• Coordinate frontend, backend, and infrastructure teams for comprehensive delivery.
• Prioritize token development, component creation, and design system evolution in collaboration with brand stakeholders.
• Handle brand-specific customization requests within the design system framework.
• Maintain and prioritize product backlogs across various workstreams.
• Utilize prioritization frameworks such as RICE, WSJF, and Value vs. Effort.
• Conduct sessions for backlog refinement.
• Make decisions regarding scope, timelines, and quality trade-offs.
• Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Define and enhance user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Ensure team velocity and capacity planning align with delivery commitments.
• Over 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar capacity (Business Analyst) within agile environments.
• Proven history of managing intricate, multi-workstream digital initiatives.
• Experience in bridging strategy and execution in enterprise settings.
• Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and dependencies.
• Comprehensive understanding of digital ecosystem architecture, including headless CMS platforms and content management techniques.
• Familiarity with AI-driven search and discovery systems.
• Knowledge of data platforms and analytics integration.
• Understanding of design system architecture and component libraries.
• Knowledge of enterprise content strategy and governance.
• Familiarity with contemporary front-end development workflows, such as Figma, Storybook, and component libraries.
• Insight into design tokens, atomic design principles, and design system methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Experience in managing client relationships and expectations in consulting or agency settings.
• Proficient in facilitating challenging conversations and achieving consensus.
• Proven capability to handle competing priorities and stakeholder interests.
• Strong expertise in agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches.
• Familiarity with agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Ability to adapt agile practices to fit organizational context and constraints.
• Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
• Preferred: Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
• Preferred: Experience with design systems at scale across various brands or properties.
• Preferred: Background in UX design, content strategy, or technical architecture.
• Preferred: Experience in highly regulated industries or complex organizational structures.
• Preferred: Prior consulting or agency experience in managing client delivery.
• Preferred: Experience in prototyping.
