This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Direct Instacart’s product partnerships division and operate at an exceptional level.
• Establish a long-term partnership strategy across Logistics, Retail Technology, and Enterprise.
• Guide build-buy-partner decisions in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage innovative partnership initiatives from their inception to finalized agreements and launch.
• Create scalable playbooks for emerging product sectors and international markets.
• Enhance the operational effectiveness of the partnerships team through defined ownership and deal-evaluation frameworks.
• Mentor Senior Managers and Managers for future advancement.
• Serve as a strategic collaborator with Product and Engineering, influencing roadmap decisions.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with Instacart’s most vital external partners.
• Identify high-value opportunities and cultivate trust with C-suite and executive-level partners.
• Over 15 years of experience in business development, product partnerships, or strategic alliances within technology or closely related industries.
• Comprehensive management of intricate, multi-stakeholder deals from inception to launch.
• Proven experience in building and leading high-performing partnerships teams, including managing managers and structuring the function for scalability.
• A history of successfully closing complex, non-standard technology or strategic partnership agreements, including pioneering deals with C-suite or executive-level counterparts.
• Experience acting as a strategic ally to Product and Engineering, influencing roadmap and build-buy-partner choices.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including business case formulation and presenting ROI to senior leadership.
• Ability to navigate without a predefined roadmap, providing clarity and direction to a team.
• Preferred: experience with software and/or hardware partnerships in sectors like retail, grocery, in-store technology, e-commerce, loyalty, POS, or related ecosystems.
• Preferred: expertise in international product partnerships, especially in EMEA markets.
• Preferred: a background in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
• An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
