This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product marketing individual contributors. Set the benchmark for positioning and messaging excellence, enhancing team effectiveness beyond individual capabilities. Take ownership of product marketing priorities across a multi-product portfolio.
β’ Positioning and narrative ownership: Own and refine CaptivateIQ's positioning, messaging, and portfolio narrative as new products launch and we expand into broader categories. Ensure the integrated suite presents a unified story rather than disjointed segments. Establish the messaging standards the team adheres to, while remaining involved in shaping the most critical narratives personally.
β’ Customer and competitive research engine: Create a sustainable voice-of-customer and competitive intelligence framework, encompassing ongoing buyer discovery and structured primary research (win/loss analysis, surveys, segmentation), that informs positioning, sales strategy, and product roadmap decisions. Manage the entire system rather than just individual studies.
β’ Roadmap influence: Manage the customer and market feedback loop into Product. Ensure the insights your team collects are structured and prioritized, contributing to what gets built and why, while developing a repeatable cadence with Product and EPD to make this feedback loop consistent rather than ad hoc.
β’ Analyst relations and external credibility: Enhance CaptivateIQ's external credibility through analyst relations, review platforms, and other validation channels, influencing market perceptions of our category leadership.
β’ Executive storytelling: Assist in crafting executive-level narratives for customers, analysts, and key external audiences, translating our strategy into impactful stories that resonate with senior stakeholders.
β’ GTM alignment: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, and the wider Marketing team to ensure cohesive alignment and a consistent narrative from product ideation through to launch and beyond. While enablement and field execution reside within the marketing team, you ensure that launches accurately reflect the positioning and customer insights your team has developed.
β’ 12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing or related fields, including at least 3 years of experience in building, leading, and mentoring teams.
β’ Proven ability to establish a customer research and feedback process and convert it into both product direction and go-to-market strategies.
β’ A history of influencing product decisions at the roadmap level.
β’ Comfort working with technical products and audiences. You can engage with Product and Engineering teams, comprehend architectural details, ask insightful questions, and identify customer challenges, while coaching your team to do the same.
β’ Experience in leading analyst relations and managing external market perceptions, including with organizations like Gartner, Forrester, and various review platforms.
β’ B2B SaaS experience with enterprise sales; familiarity with RevOps, Finance, or Office-of-the-CFO personas is a significant advantage.
β’ A structured, evidence-driven research and measurement approach. You can design win/loss and buyer research, define success metrics, analyze data impartially, and guide decisions based on findings.
β’ Familiarity with AI tools in your work, and a credible perspective on positioning AI products for enterprise buyers.
β’ Strong competitive intelligence instincts with the capacity to translate insights into winning differentiators.
β’ An exceptional storyteller and communicator capable of serving as an internal and external advocate for CaptivateIQ, including engagement with executives, analysts, and customers.
β’ Comprehensive Healthcare: 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision for all full-time employees, with approximately 75% coverage for dependents.
β’ Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation days coupled with quarterly mental health days to ensure you have the opportunity to recharge.
β’ Annual Stipends: Dedicated funds available for your professional development and caretaking needs.
β’ Work Anniversary Bonuses: Annual bonuses to recognize your milestones and contributions to the CaptivateIQ team that increase with your tenure.
β’ Retirement Savings (US-Only): A 401(k) plan to assist you in investing in and securing your future.
β’ Premium Tools: Access to the latest Apple hardware to enable you to perform at your best.
β’ Inclusive Community: Active Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that celebrate shared identities and support our DEI goals by fostering an environment where diverse talent can flourish.
