This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement product strategies that prioritize customer needs for trusted AI and workflow experiences across the Paylocity platform.
• Establish business direction for the AI and Workflows platform, focusing on user assistance, business-process automation, and regulatory frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for customer co-creation and clearly communicate the quantified value of the product.
• Create business cases, define product vision, articulate customer value, establish success metrics, assess total cost of ownership, and ensure corporate alignment.
• Design performance benchmarks and establish feedback loops to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Oversee AI and Workflows platform initiatives from initial concept through to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Translate strategic objectives into a series of sequenced initiatives that outline scope, resources, risks, dependencies, milestones, and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, UX, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to produce reliable, scalable, and privacy-focused enterprise products.
• Manage product lifecycle processes, maintain JIRA hygiene, communicate executive status updates, gather early-access feedback, ensure launch readiness, and execute go-to-market strategies.
• Promote learning loops driven by metrics, experimentation, customer feedback, and insights gained post-launch.
• Keep track of customer pain points, emerging market trends, competitor capabilities, and advancements in AI and workflow technologies.
• Align cross-functional stakeholders involved in product development, commercial, customer, and governance functions.
• Present business cases, portfolio plans, trade-offs, progress updates, and product impact reports to executive leadership.
• Create customer and early-access feedback loops to enhance products and improve user experiences.
• Define data governance and responsible AI standards that encompass classification, access, retention, explainability, human-in-the-loop workflows, and reliability.
• Assess AI vendors, models, and platforms based on criteria such as risk, value, scalability, and return on investment.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and grow Product leaders and Product Managers in the domains of AI, Workflow, automation, and platform development.
• Develop reusable patterns, frameworks, best practices, systems, and processes for AI product development and responsible workflow automation.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in Product Management.
• More than 3 years of experience in a senior or group product leadership position.
• Proven experience in a dynamic SaaS environment.
• Experience in launching AI-enabled, data-driven, agent-based automation, or platform products in B2B SaaS at scale.
• Proven track record of delivering external workflow platform products in B2B SaaS at scale.
• Strong knowledge of large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation, agents, automation, analytics, and product feedback loops.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and expand product teams while fostering the development of Product Managers and Product Leaders.
• Capability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at every level.
• Exceptional skills in executive communication and presentation.
• Cross-functional experience collaborating with Engineering, Data, UX, Design, Legal, Security, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams.
• Experience in formulating product vision and strategy based on customer needs, market insights, and business objectives.
• Proven history of guiding products through the stages of discovery, delivery, launch, iteration, and lifecycle management.
• Strong business acumen linking product metrics, adoption rates, customer outcomes, operational risks, and financial performance to overall business impact.
• Solid systems thinking skills with the ability to utilize performance benchmarks and feedback loops effectively.
• Experience in managing competing priorities, dependencies, sequencing, and trade-offs.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and gain support for product strategies, portfolio plans, and investment priorities.
• A genuine curiosity and passion for innovation, continuous learning, responsible AI, and industry trends.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours each day.
