This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take ownership of the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for SS&C Health’s primary medical claims platform.
• Identify future-state capabilities and modernization priorities driven by market trends, client requirements, competitive landscape, regulatory obligations, and technological advancements.
• Convert strategy into product priorities, investment suggestions, business cases, and quantifiable results.
• Balance platform modernization efforts with client obligations, regulatory standards, operational demands, and revenue potential.
• Propel roadmap execution through defining requirements, development processes, releases, adoption strategies, and performance measurement.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders regarding outcomes, scope, timing, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to formulate actionable development plans.
• Oversee backlog prioritization, release planning, trade-off decisions, and product governance.
• Identify and mitigate execution risks, dependencies, and barriers.
• Set KPIs to measure product performance, adoption rates, operational efficiency, client value, and overall business impact.
• Act as a product and domain authority in medical claims administration and payer operations.
• Engage with clients and prospects to gain insights into their priorities, challenges, and emerging needs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Client Delivery on strategic initiatives, roadmap conversations, and product positioning.
• Represent the platform in executive client meetings, demonstrations, industry events, and strategic planning sessions.
• Foster partnerships across Product, Technology, Operations, Implementation, Client Success, Sales, Compliance, Finance, and other departments.
• Lead and nurture product management talent while establishing robust product practices, accountability, and execution discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare technology, health plan operations, product management, or related sectors, with substantial experience in medical claims and payer platforms.
• More than 5 years of product leadership experience, ideally with oversight of enterprise healthcare platforms or complex transaction-processing solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of health plan claims administration and the wider payer ecosystem.
• Proven experience in developing product strategy and translating it into actionable roadmaps and measurable business results.
• Strong preference for experience leading the modernization of intricate, mature technology platforms.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare regulatory standards, interoperability, automation, APIs, cloud technologies, and emerging trends in healthcare technology.
• Demonstrated capability to lead complex initiatives across Product and Engineering teams.
• Excellent skills in executive communication, client engagement, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and effectively operate in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
