Director, Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the core product management team at Absorb.

• Transform company strategy and prioritized initiatives into tangible outcomes, pod-level roadmaps, and quantifiable results.

• Establish the product team's strategic direction to enhance customer and business value.

• Build, lead, mentor, and expand the product management team across versatile, specialized pods.

• Enhance the strategic capabilities of Product Managers and create defined career development paths.

• Advocate for accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Product Design, Development, Customer Success, and Principal Product Managers on product vision and comprehensive delivery.

• Coordinate across pods to remove obstacles and manage dependencies and risks.

• Develop and refine PM processes, tools, quality standards, and data-driven decision-making methodologies.

• Promote customer insights and convert qualitative and quantitative signals into product strategies and prioritization.

• Oversee PM capacity and resource distribution across pods and projects.

• Balance immediate deliveries with long-term platform and team investments.

• Define and promote AI integration within PM workflows, encompassing discovery, research synthesis, documentation, analysis, and roadmapping.

• Identify, pilot, and scale AI tools and workflows; set adoption targets and establish guidelines and support.

• Remain informed on industry trends and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS context.

• More than 5 years of experience in leading and developing high-performing Product Management teams at the Director level or higher.

• A proven history of converting company strategy into product roadmaps, portfolio investments, and measurable business results.

• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring Product Managers toward strategic product ownership.

• Proven experience in establishing scalable career development frameworks and performance metrics.

• Extensive knowledge in product operating models, roadmap planning, prioritization, product discovery, stakeholder alignment, and execution governance.

• Familiarity with Agile and pod-based organizational structures.

• Demonstrated ability to drive AI integration within product teams.

• Experience in implementing AI-driven workflows, tools, and best practices.

• Preferred: experience in HR technology, learning technology, or enterprise software.

• Preferred: experience scaling product teams through rapid growth, transformation, or platform modernization.

• An MBA or an equivalent combination of business, technology, and leadership experience is a plus.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country applied to without sponsorship.
