This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead the technical and product discovery processes on ongoing automotive projects, identifying user needs, business requirements, platform limitations, and integration realities that influence the scope and sequencing.
• Perform competitive and market analyses as well as user research specific to automotive and mobility experiences, converting insights into clear, actionable requirements.
• Create and uphold client-facing product roadmaps that translate strategic objectives into phased, practical plans that consider technical realities, OEM program timelines, and long-term vision.
• Represent the automotive product roadmap and team in organization-wide meetings as a key member of the client's product organization.
• Manage backlog prioritization and make scope trade-off decisions in collaboration with clients, partners, and engineering leads.
• Establish release criteria, quality benchmarks, and mechanisms for post-launch feedback.
• Oversee end-to-end product delivery, including writing product documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate sprint ceremonies and coordinate cross-functional efforts among engineering, design, research, and client/partner stakeholders.
• Act as the primary product liaison for external OEM and Tier-1 partners.
• Assist in business development with product insights.
• Recognize and implement process enhancements, including AI-assisted workflows, and guide clients on autonomous delivery practices.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in product management roles, demonstrating a successful track record of managing complex engagements from start to finish.
• A strong preference for candidates with a background in automotive products and interfaces, including experience with at least one automotive product launched and knowledge of OEM and Tier-1 program operations.
• Extensive knowledge of agile delivery methodologies and product artifacts—such as epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process documentation—written in detail sufficient for engineering and design teams to utilize.
• Proficiency in CMSes, platform architecture, API documentation, and integration planning to effectively collaborate with engineering leads on scoping and trade-off decisions.
• Experience in competitive/market analysis and user research, with a demonstrated ability to convert findings into clear requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and partners, including managing scope discussions, reporting on delivery progress, serving as the primary product contact for external partners, and navigating complex trade-offs with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced fluency with AI tools for research, prototyping, documentation, requirements analysis, and workflow, with sound judgment on where these tools enhance efficiency and where human oversight is still necessary.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical scoping in new business contexts; a collaborative spirit across design, engineering, and research disciplines.
