This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop and implement Summit's procurement and vendor management strategy.
β’ Establish and nurture strategic relationships with technology vendors, OEMs, distributors, and service providers.
β’ Lead negotiations for hardware, software, cloud services, maintenance agreements, and professional services.
β’ Collaborate with Finance, Delivery, Sales, and executive leadership on technology investments and operational initiatives.
β’ Optimize spending, consolidate vendors, enhance contract terms, and maximize the value of technology investments.
β’ Set vendor performance expectations and metrics for supplier quality, responsiveness, and business value.
β’ Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including renewals, pricing reviews, vendor performance, and relationship management.
β’ Establish and refine procurement policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
β’ Analyze purchasing trends, contract commitments, and supplier performance to provide actionable recommendations.
β’ Lead, mentor, and manage the Procurement team.
β’ Assess emerging technologies, supplier capabilities, and market trends.
β’ Provide strategic supplier partnerships, competitive commercial agreements, scalable procurement processes, visibility into spending and renewals, supplier accountability, and informed purchasing decisions.
β’ Determine procurement strategies, vendor selection recommendations, negotiation tactics, procurement governance, supplier performance plans, initiative priorities, team workload, and development priorities for the Procurement team.
β’ Proven experience in leading procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management within a technology, managed services, cloud, or enterprise IT environment.
β’ Demonstrated success in building long-term vendor relationships and negotiating outcomes that create value.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of enterprise technology purchasing, including hardware, software licensing, cloud services, and professional services.
β’ Ability to balance strategic planning with practical operational considerations.
β’ Skill in building credibility with technical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.
β’ Proficiency in using data to support recommendations, assess supplier performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
β’ Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and address complex business challenges.
β’ Experience in negotiating Microsoft licensing, CSP, Azure, or other enterprise technology agreements.
β’ Background in managing strategic technology vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Equinix, Digital Realty, HPE, or similar partners.
β’ Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, procurement systems, or ERP platforms.
β’ Experience negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, or managed services agreements.
β’ Knowledge of managed services, cloud infrastructure, or data center environments.
β’ Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, PMP, or similar is a plus.
