This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Lead Vantage's approach to on-site and behind-the-meter power generation throughout North America.
• Manage IPP partnerships, generation procurement strategies, generation technologies, and nuclear and SMR strategies.
• Create scalable self-generation and bridge-power strategies to enhance speed-to-power for large-scale data center projects.
• Assess and prioritize technologies such as natural gas, fuel cells, BESS, and emerging nuclear/SMR solutions.
• Identify critical flaws, evaluate risks, assumptions, and mitigation strategies concerning generation feasibility, fuel supply, permitting, emissions, and readiness.
• Establish long-lead generation equipment strategies, technical requirements, framework approaches, and project allocations.
• Collaborate with Procurement on sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing activities.
• Structure and negotiate partnerships with IPPs, BTM developers, and generation solution providers.
• Define a long-term self-generation platform strategy for the generation, storage, and dispatch of power at scale.
• Develop Vantage's position on nuclear and SMR, including engagement with developers and technology providers.
• Evaluate licensing and regulatory pathways, site suitability, fuel considerations, and technology viability.
• Engage externally with IPPs, developers, OEMs, EPCs, technology providers, and regulators.
• Direct and validate external inputs on generation capacity, equipment lead times, costs, regulatory stances, permitting, and delivery timelines.
• Standardize generation strategy frameworks, tools, and decision criteria across various markets.
• Collaborate with Energy Strategy, Design & Engineering, Development, and Procurement teams.
• Oversee the transition of generation strategies, assumptions, equipment commitments, and risk assessments to downstream execution teams.
• Prepare executive-level materials on feasibility, costs, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Present and defend recommendations that influence capital allocation, investment, and market prioritization.
• Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and mentorship across the Energy organization.
• Identify emerging risks, technological trends, and strategic opportunities impacting generation availability, cost, and competitiveness.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in power generation, IPP/BTM development, energy project development, or power infrastructure roles.
• Experience in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Background in IPPs, BTM/on-site generation developers, natural gas power and generation facilities, generation OEMs or EPCs, electric utilities, or infrastructure development for data centers or other large-load environments.
• Experience in developing power generation projects or structuring IPP/BTM partnerships.
• Proven track record in leading feasibility studies, technology evaluation, or equipment strategy processes.
• Knowledge of gas turbines/reciprocating engines, fuel cells, BESS, and nuclear/SMR technologies.
• Familiarity with generation equipment supply chains, permitting, and interconnection concepts.
• Experience in structuring and negotiating energy transactions, including PPAs, tolling, capacity, or BTM/on-site generation agreements.
• Understanding of project finance concepts, commercial modeling, and risk allocation.
• Capability to operate in early-stage, ambiguous environments with incomplete or evolving information.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Skill in translating technical insights into business-relevant conclusions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in preparing executive-ready materials.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel up to 25–30%, with the potential for increased travel over time.
