Director, PMO – Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Establish the strategic vision for the Projects Team in collaboration with the Departmental VP.

• Supervise Senior Project Managers who oversee and coordinate designated projects and programs.

• Regularly assess departmental processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and ensure broad applicability.

• Create new processes and deliver training to team members.

• Guarantee that the team monitors relevant KPIs and achieves outstanding results.

• Analyze new project opportunities and allocate tasks based on team members' expertise.

• Manage project portfolios by evaluating profitability, non-billable time, project management costs, completion rates, pipeline, and capacity data.

• Recruit, onboard, and integrate new employees.

• Mentor, provide performance evaluations, and guide team members.

• Ensure project teams stay updated with safety training protocols.

• Oversee, document, and deliver safety training as necessary.

• Occasionally visit project sites to perform safety audits.

• Review audit findings with Project Managers and provide constructive feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

• MBA is highly preferred.

• Ten to fifteen years of experience in Construction Management.

• Demonstrated success in leadership roles.

• LEED Associate, State General Contracting Licenses, or relevant professional construction affiliations are advantageous.

• PMI Certification is mandatory.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work at roof level.

• Proficient in close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus as needed.

• Ability to distinguish a full spectrum of colors in work environments, drawings, and maps.

• Capability to navigate commercial properties and construction sites, including through narrow passageways and corridors.

• Ability to remain standing as project task requirements dictate.
