This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the quarterly and long-term performance marketing strategy encompassing paid, lifecycle, and conversion channels to achieve signup objectives.
• Offer leadership a comprehensive overview of paid performance and formulate contingency strategies.
• Manage ad copy, creative content, bidding approaches, and budget distribution across paid search and display channels.
• Propel both horizontal volume expansion and vertical growth for larger transactions.
• Identify and assess opportunities for investment in new channels such as paid social, affiliate marketing, direct mail, and out-of-home advertising.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment on channel investments and measurement metrics.
• Link paid expenditure to pipeline and revenue with Sales and RevOps teams.
• Synchronize paid acquisition efforts with content strategy, social media, SEO, and AEO initiatives.
• Represent Help Scout’s performance marketing insights in a competitive landscape.
• Establish Help Scout’s role in AI-driven discovery, AI summaries, and LLM-based responses.
• Develop a 12–18 month performance marketing roadmap, outlining future staffing requirements.
• Report directly to the VP of Marketing and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, Support, and company leadership.
• Minimum of 7+ years in performance or growth marketing, including ownership of strategy for a B2B SaaS organization.
• Extensive experience in paid/performance marketing, specifically managing strategy for B2B SaaS companies.
• Proficient in various paid channels and search landscape benchmarks, including PPC, CPM, and ROAS.
• Capable of handling ambiguity, limited budgets, and a streamlined marketing team.
• Strong analytical capabilities with substantial experience in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and attribution tools.
• Skilled at transforming data into clear recommendations for leadership.
• Experienced in conducting rapid experiments and adjusting strategies based on data insights.
• Regular use of AI tools, with concrete examples of enhancing delivery speed, quality, or scale.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in building relationships and communicating effectively within a remote, asynchronous organization.
• Ability to present insights and strategies to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States; Help Scout does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Experience in B2B SaaS environments.
• Background in managing performance marketing for SMB and/or midmarket segments.
• Bonus: Experience in managing an agency and/or direct reports.
