Director, Order to Cash

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete billing, invoicing, collections, and payment settlement processes for both subscription and transaction-based revenues.

• Reconcile payment transactions along with merchant settlements.

• Provide operational oversight for SaaS/subscription and payments-related revenue.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Develop a collections strategy aimed at decreasing aged receivables and enhancing recovery rates.

• Select and enhance billing, collections, and payment tools, including Stripe, Workday, Salesforce, TSYS, and Zuora.

• Create documented processes that minimize manual tasks and reduce the risk of errors.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop managers and specialists within billing, collections, and payment operations.

• Establish team KPIs and service-level objectives.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams regarding billing, collections, and payments.

• Act as a representative for Order to Cash in pricing and product decision-making.

• Ensure internal controls are maintained across billing, collections, and settlements.

• Assist with audit and compliance activities alongside the Assistant Controller.

• Advocate for the adoption of AI technologies to expedite the closing process, enhance reconciliation, reduce manual tasks, and improve forecasting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in leading billing, collections, payment operations, or revenue operations, preferably in fintech, payments, or SaaS industries.

• Proven experience in building and leading teams, including managing other team leaders.

• Demonstrated history of owning and enhancing end-to-end operational processes at scale.

• Strong preference for candidates with revenue accounting exposure (ASC 606) in both SaaS/subscription revenue and payments/transaction-based revenue.

• Familiarity with payment processing, card networks, ACH, and payment processors such as Stripe, TSYS, or Adyen.

• Proficient in using ERP, billing, and CRM systems like Workday, Zuora, or Salesforce.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Practical experience with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT for workflow automation and enhancement.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.

• CPA certification is a plus.
