Director of Underwriting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Underwrite contract surety bonds and evaluate risk acceptability.

• Manage daily requests for bids and final bonds.

• Assess new contract bond/account submissions for completeness and adherence to company policies.

• Monitor the financial status of accounts by analyzing annual accounting audits and internal financial statements.

• Cultivate and strengthen agency relationships through regular meetings, account visits, and the establishment of new surety partnerships.

• Propel premium production growth by leveraging market knowledge and a proactive, client-centric approach.

• Supervise and manage internal underwriters.

• Train and develop internal underwriting staff.
