This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Expand Opportunity@Work's philanthropic revenue by cultivating relationships with institutional funders capable of contributing $500K or more.
β’ Manage a portfolio of existing and potential private and corporate foundations, guiding each from initial engagement to successful closure.
β’ Collaborate with the Vice President and other executives on high-level fundraising requests.
β’ Secure and/or enhance multi-year anchor partnerships that support significant projects.
β’ Represent Opportunity@Work among funders and philanthropic leaders.
β’ Convert organizational priorities into attractive investment opportunities.
β’ Lead meetings and solicitations with funders in accordance with their objectives.
β’ Develop and implement stewardship strategies to retain funders and increase contributions.
β’ Identify and evaluate new prospects based on workforce and philanthropic trends.
β’ Build and activate a network of philanthropic advocates.
β’ Represent the organization at conferences, gatherings, and events.
β’ Collaborate with the Executive Office on CEO funder relationships, briefings, and follow-up strategies.
β’ Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure accurate Salesforce data management and to shape funder strategies.
β’ Work alongside Resource Mobilization on proposals, presentations, and reports.
β’ Coordinate with Marketing, External Affairs, Programs, Finance, and other teams to ensure funding requests align with organizational objectives.
β’ Act as a role model, fostering a collaborative, enjoyable, and results-driven culture.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including successfully closing several gifts of $500K or more from foundations or corporations.
β’ A natural relationship-builder who can confidently engage an audience and inspire trust among funders and partners.
β’ A strategic thinker capable of analyzing fundraising challenges, utilizing data, and proposing effective solutions to achieve revenue goals.
β’ Excellent collaboration abilities with a proven history of aligning senior leaders and cross-functional teams around common fundraising objectives.
β’ Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills.
β’ Highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple funder relationships and deadlines concurrently.
β’ Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM to monitor engagement and pipeline.
β’ Familiarity and comfort with using AI tools.
β’ Knowledge of workforce development, economic mobility, or systems-change philanthropy is advantageous.
