This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead and oversee the project controls team from both technical and administrative perspectives.
β’ Guarantee organizational support for project operations through project accounting.
β’ Enhance the department and staff structure from an organizational standpoint.
β’ Offer vision, direction, and guidance for the department and its functional areas.
β’ Formulate strategic plans and spearhead initiatives.
β’ Create and uphold company-wide project controls standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols.
β’ Ensure internal controls, precise project financial reporting, and efficiency in project accounting.
β’ Ascertain that project reporting adheres to contractual, statutory, GAAP, and government standards.
β’ Collaborate with functional departments to meet strategy, growth, budget, schedule, compliance, quality, and performance goals.
β’ Analyze project outcomes and forecasts; provide recommendations and devise financial strategies.
β’ Engage in financial planning and forecasting for the department, operations, and business activities.
β’ Deliver management information for strategic planning, performance measurement, and organizational decision-making.
β’ Supervise contract cost performance and funding restrictions.
β’ Ensure external reporting aligns with contractual obligations.
β’ Manage invoicing and financial contract closure responsibilities.
β’ Evaluate purchase requisitions for appropriate charging and adherence to funding and contractual agreements.
β’ Conduct business in accordance with Seneca's policies and procedures.
β’ Execute other assigned tasks.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
β’ Over 12 years of experience in finance or business operations within a Federal Government Contracting environment.
β’ Extensive experience with Performance-Based Contracts and IDIQ vehicles, including FFP, T&M, and CPFF type orders.
β’ Strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint, particularly the Projects module, with a solid understanding of billing and revenue formulas.
β’ Well-honed financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting principles.
β’ Capability to organize and manage time across various tasks and customer requirements.
β’ Ability to work autonomously while fostering effective relationships with both internal and external clients.
β’ Outstanding communication skills for crafting and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
β’ A proactive, positive, motivated, problem-solving, and adaptable demeanor.
β’ Capacity to maintain confidentiality and appreciate the contributions of each individual.
β’ Leadership and advocacy for business process improvement.
β’ Proficient communication skills for engaging with internal technical, management, and administrative personnel as well as external clients.
β’ Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, GSA Federal Schedules, Federal, IDIQ, GWAC contracts, and additional government agency regulations.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
β’ Preferred: Experience with Cognos reporting and query building.
