Director of Product – Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the effective implementation of uMed's application product roadmap.

• Provide daily leadership for the Application Product, Delivery, and Product Operations teams.

• Convert strategic goals into realistic delivery plans and execute them with consistency and efficiency.

• Direct product planning, delivery planning, release readiness, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Data teams to manage dependencies and prioritize roadmap deliverables.

• Guide the daily execution of the application roadmap while maintaining planning, refinement, sprint, and release cycles.

• Track progress, eliminate obstacles, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional dependencies.

• Ensure that releases are well-planned, tested, communicated, and operationally prepared.

• Promote continuous improvement in delivery processes, team efficiency, and working methods.

• Mentor and support the product team, serving as a point of escalation for product and delivery decisions.

• Ensure usability, accessibility, and consistency throughout the development life cycle.

• Oversee Platform Operations, including configuration, controls, documentation, and operational readiness.

• Keep up-to-date release notes, user guidance, and process documentation.

• Identify opportunities to minimize manual tasks and automate repetitive operational processes.

• Directly supervise the Application Product Manager, Product Designer, Scrum Master, and Platform Operations Specialist.

• Set goals and expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and assist with recruitment, onboarding, and skill development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated sector.

• Extensive experience leading Product, Delivery, or Program functions within a software, SaaS, or technology organization.

• Proven success in delivering complex software products from conception to release.

• Strong practical experience in product management, encompassing requirements definition, backlog management, prioritization, story writing, refinement, and UAT.

• Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Product Designers, Delivery professionals, and Platform Operations staff.

• Exceptional planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities.

• Strong grasp of Agile software development and contemporary product delivery methodologies.

• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable acting as a hands-on leader in a scaling organization.

• Pragmatic, delivery-oriented, and capable of balancing strategic objectives with operational execution.

• Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment is preferred.
