Director of Product, Commercial Payment Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the product strategy and execution for digital payment, billing, and self-service account features targeted at Ford Pro FinSimple commercial clients on fordpro.com.

• Manage a team of Product Managers.

• Take ownership of the product area's future vision and roadmap.

• Establish a long-term product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals.

• Create and sustain roadmaps for various products while prioritizing features.

• Identify opportunities for growth and enhancement, develop business cases, gain executive support, and initiate launches.

• Collect, analyze, and convert stakeholder requirements into product specifications.

• Lead both internal and outsourced teams across global locations.

• Utilize data-driven analysis to assess customer and business impact and actively drive initiatives.

• Advocate for requirements, product specifications, PRDs, use cases, and customer research.

• Enhance product management practices and promote innovation, data-driven decision-making, and a customer-centric approach.

• Determine staffing and budget requirements and attract talent.

• Provide guidance and feedback to team members.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility and implementation.

• Identify, mitigate, plan for, and escalate potential issues.

• Communicate product visions, roadmaps, and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Develop PRDs, business case documents, strategy documents, KPIs, OKRs, features, user stories, metrics, and acceptance criteria.

• Organize work for release planning.

• Engage in standups, iteration planning, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Enhance team processes and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree or a mix of relevant experience and education.

• MBA is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience as a Product Manager.

• A proven history of delivering impactful, complex platform products.

• Extensive knowledge of commercial financial and banking products, direct and indirect lending, payment and billing systems, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in fleet management.

• In-depth understanding of product roadmaps, customer journey analytics, and go-to-market product strategies.

• Strong familiarity with fleet management services that utilize connected vehicle data.

• Ability to secure executive buy-in and influence team dynamics.

• Outstanding storytelling abilities.

• Expertise in technical platforms, APIs, cloud services, and technical products, or experience leading engineering teams that have developed cloud services or custom software platform solutions as a Product leader.

• Comfort in formulating technology perspectives and engaging in architectural discussions using contemporary technology tools and services.

• Proficient in technology systems, system design, APIs, non-functional requirements, data, big data, data management, and architectural patterns.

• Experience with ML/AI is preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Experience with platform products and expanding enterprise adoption.

• Familiarity with AgileSAFE methodologies and Scrum.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to deconstruct complex tasks and requirements into manageable components.

• Capability to deliver high-impact results, make trade-offs, and prioritize for maximum business effectiveness.
