This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct, develop, mentor, and supervise one direct report, the Procurement Manager.
• Create, execute, and enhance organization-wide category strategies to improve cost-efficiency across software, consulting, marketing, facilities, and equipment vendors.
• Collaborate with the CFO and Finance team to assess organizational spending and design systems aimed at optimizing expenditures.
• Formulate, document, implement, enforce, and sustain procurement policies, intake workflows, spending thresholds, approval matrices, international compliance tracks, and related documentation.
• Manage approximately 150 vendor relationships, including commercial negotiations, supplier segmentation, and preferred vendor programs.
• Oversee the implementation and enhancement of enterprise digital procurement tools, especially Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software.
• Educate teams in the U.S. and Mexico on procurement processes and financial accountability.
• Monitor procurement accountability and compliance while partnering with the Legal and People teams.
• Establish and maintain reporting frameworks for the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team, covering pipeline velocity, renewal horizons, and financial impacts.
• Exhibit fair, ethical, and equitable business practices.
• Handle sensitive and confidential matters and data with discretion and integrity.
• Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging while exemplifying Trevor’s values.
• Stay informed about The Trevor Project’s programs, services, strategic goals, and the LGBTQ+ community.
• Plan, troubleshoot, multitask, collaborate effectively, and ensure accuracy.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
• 8–10 years of experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in leading, developing, mentoring, and managing procurement professionals.
• Demonstrated experience managing $15M–$30M+ addressable spend and over 150 active vendor contracts.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and working capital optimization at scale.
• Expertise in complex contract literacy, including liability and indemnification terms.
• Capability to coordinate and collaborate with in-house legal teams and external counsel.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models.
• Proficient in modern procurement tools and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software systems.
• Skilled in spend analytics platforms and enterprise reporting frameworks.
• Proficient in SaaS vendor management and professional services procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field preferred; relevant equivalent experience is required.
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to advise senior leadership and influence behavioral change.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; Spanish is a plus.
