This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with banks, CPAs, attorneys, M&A advisors, investment bankers, private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, financial advisors, and other professional referral sources.
• Generate qualified financing opportunities in the $1M–$25M lower-middle-market range through an established professional network.
• Develop and enhance referral channels capable of producing consistent and repeatable deal flow.
• Reconnect with existing professional relationships while forging new strategic referral partnerships.
• Showcase the company's alternative financing solutions to referral partners and potential borrowers.
• Identify financing opportunities and assess their alignment with the company's credit profile and available solutions.
• Oversee opportunities from initial introduction and qualification through underwriting, structuring, and closing stages.
• Collaborate closely with credit, underwriting, and leadership teams to devise suitable financing structures for potential borrowers.
• Ensure continuous communication with referral partners throughout the financing process.
• Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and professional gatherings to broaden the company's referral network.
• Independently manage and expand a portfolio of referral relationships and originated opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, origination, strategic partnerships, relationship management, underwriting, credit, or portfolio management within the commercial finance sector or a related financial-services field.
• Background in private credit, ABL, factoring, commercial finance, SBA lending, equipment finance, commercial banking, M&A/advisory, investment banking, or a related discipline.
• Established connections with professional referral sources such as banks, CPAs, attorneys, investment bankers, M&A advisors, financial advisors, private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, or other financial intermediaries.
• Proven ability to generate or influence repeat deal flow through professional relationships.
• Experience working with lower-middle-market companies and financing transactions, ideally within the $1M–$25M range.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial credit, financing structures, and the requirements of lower-middle-market businesses.
• Capability to identify, qualify, and effectively communicate financing opportunities.
• Strong skills in relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation.
• Self-driven and adept at independently developing and managing a book of business.
