Director of People and Culture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a clear, commercially oriented People strategy.

• Collaborate with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, succession planning, and change initiatives.

• Enhance colleague experience, engagement, and inclusive leadership practices.

• Cultivate leadership capabilities, talent development, and succession planning.

• Provide senior-level oversight on complex employee relations and employment risks.

• Ensure the establishment of robust People policies, processes, and employment practices.

• Oversee Clinical Governance, linking workforce capabilities with safeguarding and organizational assurance.

• Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies.

• Lead and nurture a multidisciplinary People team.

• Manage the People budget effectively.

• Transition the function towards a more regionally aligned and commercially focused People Partnering model.

• Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to align people strategies, culture, leadership capabilities, and organizational structure with strategic and commercial goals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering People strategy within a complex, regulated, or multi-site organization.

• Demonstrated experience in leading significant organizational changes and restructures.

• Experience in advising Executive and senior leadership teams.

• Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and complex employee relations.

• Expertise in workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development.

• Proven experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary People teams.

• Ability to utilize data and insights to influence organizational decision-making.

• Strong capability to build trusted relationships while constructively challenging when necessary.

• Experience in healthcare, social care, CQC-regulated environments, or Clinical Governance is preferred.
