This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and expand Lumen Energy’s marketing function during a pivotal growth phase.
• Report directly to the Head of Sales Operations.
• Manage an initial team consisting of two direct reports.
• Recruit, mentor, and oversee a developing marketing team.
• Establish goals, priorities, and performance metrics that align with company OKRs.
• Encourage experimentation, data-driven decision making, and ongoing improvement.
• Create scalable processes and automated systems.
• Own the marketing strategy and roadmap alongside the leadership team.
• Define and refine the Ideal Customer Profile and go-to-market segmentation.
• Drive product marketing and positioning strategies across various channels.
• Set and monitor KPIs for pipeline generation, brand awareness, and marketing-influenced revenue.
• Own the top-of-funnel strategy and execution, including ABM programs targeting institutional commercial real estate owners.
• Execute multi-channel campaigns encompassing outbound, paid, content, and events.
• Optimize the marketing technology stack and attribution models.
• Collaborate with Sales on lead quality, handoffs, and opportunity acceleration.
• Report on marketing performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI to executive leadership.
• Enhance brand positioning and visual identity.
• Oversee blogs, videos, social media, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Lead event strategies, including sponsorships, conferences, webinars, and executive engagements.
• Position Lumen Energy and its executives as leaders in the commercial solar and clean energy sectors.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and executive leadership on go-to-market strategies.
• Ensure that sales enablement materials and tools align with revenue objectives.
• Represent Marketing in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Participate in recurring meetings with the CEO/Fractional CMO, Head of Sales Operations, marketing, sales-marketing alignment, executive, all-hands, and cross-functional teams.
• Over 10 years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
• A minimum of 3–5 years in leadership positions.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling demand generation programs that lead to measurable pipeline and revenue.
• Experience in managing and developing high-performing marketing teams.
• Extensive expertise in demand generation, content, events, product marketing, and branding.
• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for translating data into strategy and action.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and storytelling capabilities.
• Experience working closely with sales teams and an understanding of B2B sales cycles.
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities.
• Ability to set strategic direction and execute tactically when necessary.
• Preferred experience in climate tech, proptech, commercial real estate, or B2B SaaS.
• Background in selling to institutional buyers or managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of ABM strategies and large-scale execution is advantageous.
• Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, and contemporary martech stacks is preferred.
• Proven track record of positioning category-creating or category-defining companies is preferred.
• An MBA or equivalent business experience is preferred.
• An existing network in sustainability, commercial real estate, or clean energy sectors is a plus.
