This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
β’ Lead, mentor, and nurture insurance agents and processors by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and providing avenues for ongoing development.
β’ Actively engage as a producer while enhancing the team's capacity to attract new business, retain existing accounts, and deliver reliable service.
β’ Create insurance strategies, business plans, and implementation roadmaps, then guide their execution through to completion.
β’ Identify and seek out opportunities to expand OCCU's Personal Lines and Commercial Lines business portfolios.
β’ Assess and enhance insurance products, pricing structures, service offerings, workflows, and delivery methods.
β’ Manage relationships with carriers and external partners while exploring new products, vendors, and market opportunities.
β’ Establish and supervise effective processes for sales, service, renewals, and policyholder support.
β’ Utilize market research, member feedback, production results, book revenue, renewal activities, and service metrics to assess performance and inform decision-making.
β’ Ensure that procedures and workflows remain adaptable to regulatory requirements, errors and omissions considerations, market trends, and technological advancements.
β’ Clearly communicate program performance, strategic objectives, and recommendations to senior leadership and the CUSO Board of Managers.
β’ Foster trusted partnerships within OCCU and exemplify compassionate, determined, and humble leadership.
β’ A minimum of five years of proven experience in the insurance industry.
β’ Experience in growing and/or managing an insurance agency focused on Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance sector and a demonstrated ability to expand an insurance business line.
β’ Proven track record as a producer and as a leader of sales, service, or insurance operations teams.
β’ Ability to convert strategy into actionable plans, set measurable objectives, hold team members accountable, and modify plans based on outcomes.
β’ Extensive knowledge of insurance products, carrier relationships, renewals, agency workflows, sales and service metrics, market trends, and business profitability.
β’ Strong skills in analysis, business planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and operational decision-making.
β’ Ability to cultivate influential partnerships with internal stakeholders, carrier partners, vendors, team members, and clients.
β’ Excellent organizational, prioritization, documentation, and project leadership abilities.
β’ Demonstrated capability to lead through transitions, maintain effectiveness under pressure, and drive initiatives in a changing business landscape.
β’ An active Oregon Property and Casualty License, which must be maintained, along with any necessary licensure in additional states for OCCU business.
β’ A bachelor's degree or a proven history of achieving measurable business results.
β’ An equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
