Director of Information Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design, implementation, and upkeep of secure and scalable IT infrastructure and external integrations.

• Ensure optimal availability, performance, and security across all systems.

• Manage enterprise cloud platforms and services, including Microsoft 365 and AWS.

• Oversee relationships with vendors and manage licensing agreements.

• Supervise the provisioning and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and user access.

• Establish and uphold business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Ensure prompt and effective support for both internal and external users.

• Implement systems and tools that bolster employee productivity and security.

• Coordinate system enhancements, product maintenance and support, upgrades, updates, and patches.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT strategy with organizational objectives.

• Assess, select, and implement internal tools and systems.

• Drive opportunities for automation and process improvement.

• Create technology roadmaps for infrastructure modernization, cloud services, cybersecurity, and end-user computing.

• Evaluate emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, automation platforms, and workflow optimization tools.

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff.

• Develop team structure, performance objectives, and paths for professional development.

• Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and organizational data governance standards.

• Recommend, draft, and update IT standard operating procedures.

• Support audits, risk management initiatives, cybersecurity insurance requirements, and incident response planning.

• Manage the roles of Infrastructure Manager, Integration Manager, and Service Desk Analyst.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in IT, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or director-level position.

• Proven track record in managing enterprise IT infrastructure and internal support operations.

• Experience in leading cloud-based technology environments, specifically Microsoft 365 and AWS.

• Background in supporting regulated healthcare environments and compliance frameworks like HIPAA.

• Experience managing technology vendors, software licensing, professional services relationships, and technology budgets.

• Strong leadership and people management abilities; experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams.

• Solid comprehension of ITIL practices, cybersecurity, and systems integration.

• Server administration and cloud engineering experience, preferably with AWS.

• Experience administering and governing Microsoft 365 technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune.

• Knowledge of identity and access management, Zero Trust security principles, MFA, conditional access, and endpoint management.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for document management, project management, and ticketing.

• Experience administering enterprise identity and access management platforms, such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, responsible for SSO, MFA, user provisioning, lifecycle management, conditional access, and application integration.

• Experience implementing AI-enabled productivity solutions such as Microsoft Copilot along with related governance practices.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR APIs.
