Director of Engineering, Electrical Controls – OT Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee capital engineering projects that support North American manufacturing and supply chain facilities from initial concept to startup.

• Create project scopes, budgets, timelines, business justifications, and strategies for execution.

• Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, procurement, IT, and external engineering partners.

• Facilitate factory modernization, equipment replacement, capacity expansion, controls upgrades, and initiatives aimed at improving reliability.

• Manage industrial automation and control system projects across manufacturing sites.

• Design and implement solutions involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, drives, motion control, and process control.

• Assist with control system modernization, lifecycle management, obsolescence replacement, and process enhancements.

• Integrate manufacturing systems with data historians, reporting platforms, MES, and enterprise systems.

• Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, startup, and operational transition activities.

• Contribute to digital manufacturing, connected factory initiatives, Industry 4.0, analytics, visualization, and technology roadmaps.

• Incorporate operational technology (OT) cybersecurity requirements into project design, implementation, and commissioning phases.

• Assess network segmentation, remote access, backup, disaster recovery, and system resiliency needs.

• Assist with industrial control system lifecycle planning, risk management, compliance, assessments, remediation, and modernization efforts.

• Promote scalable, maintainable, and secure automation solutions across various manufacturing locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, systems integration, or project engineering.

• Proven track record of successfully leading capital projects within a manufacturing setting.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial automation and control systems.

• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial instrumentation, drives, and process controls.

• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and related technologies.

• Understanding of industrial network architecture and concepts related to manufacturing system integration.

• Working knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles, secure system design, and risk management for industrial control systems.

• Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or similar industrial cybersecurity standards is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders concurrently.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

• Preferred experience in food, beverage, consumer products, or process manufacturing environments.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Must not require sponsorship from The Coca-Cola Company to maintain legal work status in the United States.
