This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Manage the Shopify storefront on a daily basis, which includes themes, templates, sections, navigation, and publishing.
• Interpret Liquid code to implement changes, perform quality assurance on developer work, and pinpoint issues arising from theme or app updates.
• Create product detail pages (PDP) and collection content utilizing metafields and metaobjects.
• Conduct audits and oversee the Shopify app stack while assessing performance impact.
• Take responsibility for theme performance, Core Web Vitals, app scripts, and third-party tags.
• Implement discounts, bundles, promotional mechanics, checkout configurations, Shopify Functions, and checkout extensions.
• Utilize Shopify Analytics and ShopifyQL for in-depth analysis.
• Oversee theme releases, encompassing staging, quality assurance, and rollbacks.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable a small eCommerce team, contractors, and agencies.
• Establish priorities, eliminate obstacles, and ensure the timely completion of deadlines and deliverables.
• Manage Shopify conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and on-site revenue key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Spearhead A/B testing initiatives across PDPs, landing pages, collections, and checkout processes.
• Identify friction points in the customer journey through analytics, session recordings, and heatmaps.
• Develop and manage a testing roadmap that includes hypotheses, timelines, and outcomes.
• Create cohort-based journey strategies from the first click to repeat purchases.
• Design landing page experiences tailored to traffic sources, customer segments, and campaign types.
• Translate campaign objectives into actionable on-site execution plans in collaboration with the VP of Marketing.
• Prepare the site for promotions, launches, and seasonal initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate landing pages, site experiences, creative assets, and offer messaging.
• Manage the eCommerce marketing calendar from a site execution perspective.
• Construct campaign landing pages and promotional templates within the theme.
• Ensure catalog quality, accuracy, merchandising strategy, PDP standards, cross-sell and upsell structures, and organization of collections.
• Optimize listings for both conversion rates and organic search visibility.
• Structure variant architecture, product taxonomy, automated collection rules, and metafield-driven specifications and fitment data.
• Oversee on-site search and discovery, including filters, synonyms, and merchandising rules.
• Manage subscription, loyalty, post-purchase upsell, and customer account performance.
• Assess and implement customer lifetime value (LTV)-focused applications and integrations.
• Collaborate with retention marketing on post-purchase flows, thank-you pages, and upsell sequences.
• Utilize Shopify Flow and similar automation tools to minimize manual merchandising and lifecycle work.
• Minimum of 4 years managing a Shopify or Shopify Plus store as the primary sales channel.
• Hands-on experience with the Shopify admin and theme on a daily basis: templates, sections, metafields, collections, discounts, and apps.
• Proficient in reading Liquid, specifying changes, and performing quality assurance on developer builds.
• Demonstrated and quantifiable success in enhancing CVR and AOV for a physical product brand, supported by Shopify data.
• Led a Shopify theme through at least one significant redesign, migration, or replatforming effort.
• Proven experience with structured A/B testing on Shopify, including designing and executing tests.
• Experience in managing and developing direct reports.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics: CVR, AOV, LTV, MER, ROAS, and contribution margin.
• Proficient in Shopify Analytics and ShopifyQL, as well as GA4, a profit platform like Triple Whale, and heatmap or session-recording tools.
• Capable of functioning as both a strategist and an executor.
• Shopify Plus experience, including Functions, checkout extensibility, scripts, or B2B on Shopify (preferred).
• Familiarity with Shopify Flow, headless or Hydrogen builds, or coordinating custom app development (preferred).
• Direct experience with Rebuy, subscription platforms, loyalty programs, and on-site search applications (preferred).
• Background in automotive, aftermarket, powersports, or enthusiast product categories, including fitment or vehicle compatibility data (preferred).
• Experience with high AOV products ($75-$200+ average order value) (preferred).
• Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar retention/lifecycle platforms (preferred).
• Experience in a growth-stage DTC brand ($10M-$100M in revenue) (preferred).
• Ownership or management of subscription or loyalty programs (preferred).
• Knowledge of Amazon or marketplace channels and managing agency relationships (preferred).
