This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify and seek out new business opportunities via market research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts.
• Build and nurture relationships with data center end users, clients, design teams, and other critical industry stakeholders.
• Oversee and progress opportunities throughout the sales and preconstruction phases.
• Assist in strategic sales initiatives, manage the sales pipeline, handle CRM activities, proposals, and presentations.
• Lead and coordinate design-build and design-assist endeavors, including defining scope, making assumptions, and providing clarifications.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to formulate competitive and low-risk solutions.
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth project transitions and continuity from pursuit to execution.
• Develop strategies to tackle customer challenges and differentiate the company within the mission-critical market.
• Remain informed about data center construction trends, market opportunities, and evolving customer demands.
• Conduct client meetings to understand their needs and present customized solutions.
• Forge strategic partnerships and connect regional teams with suitable clients and market partners.
• Contribute to long-term revenue growth and expansion in the mission-critical sector.
• 10–15+ years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in business development, project development, preconstruction, and/or execution of large-scale projects.
• Extensive experience in mission-critical, data center, concrete construction, or similarly intricate construction markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record of identifying new opportunities and establishing strategic relationships and partnerships.
• Experience in strategic planning, project development, preconstruction, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong grasp of risk management and project delivery processes.
• Demonstrated capacity to devise solutions for complex customer and project needs.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, design teams, estimating, preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership.
• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements, projects, and business development endeavors.
