This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily operational performance across Giga's active data center facilities, focusing on uptime, maintenance execution, and incident management.
• Establish and uphold operational standards across all facilities, including staffing frameworks, maintenance schedules, escalation protocols, and performance metrics.
• Supervise facility operations teams and site leaders across various locations.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring contract compliance and adherence to SLAs.
• Spearhead root cause analysis and resolution for operational incidents, updating standards to prevent future occurrences.
• Take ownership of the operations budget across the portfolio, making decisions on resource allocation and staffing trade-offs.
• Communicate operational health, risks, and performance metrics to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with commissioning and construction teams to ensure effective transition from newly commissioned facilities to steady-state operations.
• Promote continuous improvement in operational procedures as the portfolio expands.
• 10+ years of experience in facility or data center operations, including over 5 years in managing operations teams across multiple sites.
• Proven experience in maintaining uptime, overseeing maintenance, and managing staffing for mission-critical or large-scale industrial facilities.
• History of building or scaling an operations function, standard, or team within a growing portfolio.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP and electrical systems pertinent to facility operations (including generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure, and BMS/controls).
• Experience in managing operations budgets and vendor/service contracts across multiple simultaneous locations.
• Strong track record of presenting to and advising executive-level stakeholders on operational risks and performance metrics.
