Director of Data and Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the enterprise data and analytics strategy, including the roadmap, priorities, and success metrics.

• Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable data platforms, models, pipelines, dashboards, and reporting solutions.

• Enhance Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, SQL, and Epicor Grow as fundamental analytics capabilities.

• Integrate Epicor Kinetic and other enterprise applications to provide accurate, consistent, and timely information.

• Collaborate with executives and functional leaders to convert business requirements into actionable analytics solutions and measurable results.

• Establish practical standards for data governance, quality, security, stewardship, and documentation.

• Lead and mentor a small analytics and BI team while staying actively engaged in technical delivery and problem resolution.

• Foster data literacy and self-service capabilities through training, documentation, and user assistance.

• Identify automation opportunities for reporting and responsibly implement advanced analytics and AI.

• Travel up to 25% to Marmon Metal Services locations for implementations, discovery, training, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, business analytics, engineering, or a related discipline.

• An advanced degree or equivalent practical experience is a plus.

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or enterprise data.

• 3–5 years of experience leading teams or significant cross-functional initiatives.

• Current hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, SQL, dimensional data modeling, semantic models, data pipelines, and enterprise reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and optimize production analytics solutions while guiding technical professionals.

• Experience in integrating ERP systems with enterprise analytics environments.

• Epicor Kinetic experience is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with data governance, quality, security, privacy, master data, and enterprise architecture.

• Strong skills in business partnership, communication, change leadership, and prioritization.
