📋 Description

• Oversee clinical operations and leverage the Clinical Team to support organizational initiatives and system-change efforts with healthcare entities.

• Provide guidance on early-stage program innovations from concept to launch decisions.

• Manage and allocate clinician experts to partner healthcare organizations and key workstreams.

• Create and implement operational plans that align with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives.

• Ensure clinical expertise is integrated into initiatives from the discovery phase through to implementation.

• Assign clinical advisors to both ad hoc and integrated workstreams.

• Develop frameworks and tools for prioritization, decision-making, and execution.

• Design and supervise enhancements to rapid-cycle clinical programs.

• Lead innovation sprints for testing tools, workflows, and adaptations specific to settings.

• Establish clinical guidelines to safeguard patient safety and uphold medical standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to weave program updates into clinical workflows.

• Modify clinical program components for new healthcare settings.

• Collaborate with the VP of Strategy to create and implement pilots, provide clinical guidance, evaluate clinical return on investment, and inform scaling strategies.

• Act as a senior clinical advisor in innovation and cross-functional forums.

• Offer advice to teams during the initial exploration and planning stages of clinical opportunities.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee clinical input, redesign initiatives, innovation requests, workloads, timelines, and associated risks.

• Work with analysts to establish and monitor clinical program metrics and incorporate findings into operations.

• Identify and address risks to program fidelity, impact, and resource utilization.

• Recruit, onboard, schedule, and evaluate staff for the Clinical Strategy Team.

• Facilitate team meetings and manage change processes.

• Oversee clinical team ideation, desk research, and opportunity assessment.

• Supervise team capacity and support professional growth.

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD, NP, or PA with 8–10+ years of experience in clinical and leadership roles within clinical services or public health.

• Strong clinical foundation in contraceptive care and reproductive health equity.

• 8+ years of experience in managing multidisciplinary clinical teams or intricate healthcare projects.

• Proven track record of supporting innovation from ideation to execution, including health service redesign, clinical product development, or innovation sprints.

• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to lead, mentor, and develop teams effectively.

• Experience guiding teams through transitional periods.

• Exceptional skills in relationship-building and cross-functional leadership.

• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

• Experience overseeing extensive, multi-workstream initiatives.

• Superior communication abilities tailored for executive audiences.

• Capacity to excel in fast-paced, high-growth, collaborative settings.

• Background in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.

• Experience collaborating with executive teams, boards, or senior decision-makers.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare workflows in various settings, including FQHCs and large systems.

• Ability to navigate cross-functional settings and translate clinical needs for technical and operational teams.

• Capability to identify and utilize generative AI tools, including LLMs, image generators, or industry-specific copilots.

• Proficient in AI prompt engineering and assessing AI-generated content.

• Foundational knowledge of ethical AI principles, data privacy, and bias identification.

• Comfortable engaging in an on-camera culture during meetings.

• Willing and able to attend in-person work-related meetings and events as necessary.

• Openness to travel up to 25% as required.
