This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive profitable growth, establish market leadership, and enhance capability development within the Veteran’s Affairs sector.
• Formulate the commercial strategy for the VA Health System and convert priorities into actionable medium- to long-term plans.
• Manage and steer the national VA Business Development function across VA Medical Centers and VISNs.
• Provide operational oversight and implement scalable processes, standards, and best practices.
• Keep track of VA market trends, competitive activities, and new opportunities.
• Recruit, mentor, lead, and cultivate a national team of Business Development Specialists.
• Promote accountability, engagement, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers throughout the VA Health System.
• Lead strategic engagement initiatives with VA Medical Centers, including account strategy, business reviews, opportunity identification, and long-term planning.
• Influence, negotiate, and align with both customer and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate execution efforts across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Commercial, and other cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement commercial strategies, processes, go-to-market strategies, and operating model designs.
• Develop customer engagement strategies specifically tailored for the VA Health System.
• Own and manage business performance metrics, including sales, operating income, expenses, forecasts, budgets, account planning, and quota recommendations.
• Monitor account and regional performance and establish contingency plans as necessary.
• Oversee field expense budgets, expense reports, commission payments, and field administration tasks.
• Provide monthly staffing updates and conduct monthly business reviews with the VP of Sales.
• Generate sales reports and conduct analyses.
• Maintain job standards, job descriptions, work standards, reporting tools, and coaching tools.
• Conduct business adhering to high ethical and professional standards.
• BA or BS degree.
• Over 8 years of successful sales experience.
• More than 5 years of medical sales management experience with a proven track record.
• Willingness and capability to travel, including overnight stays, 50%–75% of the time.
• Proven success within the VA Health System.
• Strong knowledge of Urological and Continence Care products.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of credentialing requirements that meet each healthcare facility’s access standards.
• Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, the MedTech Code of Conduct, the Advamed Code of Ethics regarding interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in the VA Health System, VA Medical Center leaders, and key decision-makers.
• Ability to lead and coach sales teams through complex and extended VA sales cycles.
• Adaptability and strong change leadership skills.
• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in reporting, strategic planning, and project management at both account and regional levels.
• In-depth knowledge of Urological and Continence Care products, customer needs, and care pathways within the VA Health System.
• Understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and market dynamics affecting VA and Continence Care markets.
• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
