This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of academic assessment across the College.
• Manage the annual assessments of student learning outcomes and comprehensive reviews of academic programs.
• Create and sustain assessment processes, tools, dashboards, rubrics, surveys, and reporting methodologies.
• Evaluate data on student learning and program effectiveness to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.
• Generate reports and recommendations for academic leadership, faculty, and university stakeholders.
• Administer assessment management systems and oversee assessment dashboards.
• Act as the primary college liaison for accreditation and state approval activities.
• Lead the preparation of self-studies, annual reports, accreditation submissions, quality assurance reports, and responses to accreditation queries.
• Direct compliance efforts regarding CTC, WSCUC, AAQEP, and other pertinent agencies.
• Assist with accreditation site visits, review processes, and initiatives aimed at continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty, program directors, department chairs, curriculum leaders, and instructional designers.
• Provide training, coaching, and consultation on assessment methodologies and accreditation standards.
• Aid in the development and revision of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), assessment maps, rubrics, and evaluation tools.
• Assist faculty in converting assessment insights into actionable improvements for programs.
• Review new and modified program and course proposals for assessability.
• Work alongside curriculum and instructional design teams to ensure quality assurance and alignment in assessment.
• Participate in the Dean's Cabinet and the College leadership team.
• Contribute to strategic planning, quarterly operational reviews, and special projects.
• Collaborate with university leaders in assessment, accreditation, institutional research, and data operations.
• Identify opportunities to enhance assessment processes and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Doctoral degree in Education or a closely related field.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in higher education assessment and accreditation.
• Experience in supporting assessment and accreditation within a College of Education or educator preparation setting.
• Familiarity with teacher credentialing programs.
• Experience with accreditation site visits and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) processes.
• Experience with regional and/or programmatic accreditation agencies.
• Proficiency in student learning outcomes assessment.
• Experience with program review methodologies.
• Background in conducting data analysis and utilizing assessment findings to guide decision-making.
• Experience with graduate and/or online education programs.
• Proficient in using assessment management systems and student information systems.
• Collaborative and highly organized leadership style.
• Extensive knowledge of accreditation and credentialing requirements in teacher education.
• Understanding of the expectations and processes of California CTC.
• Ability to manage multiple assessment and accreditation initiatives concurrently.
• Capability to foster relationships with faculty and academic leaders.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
