This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and develop the AEO & SEO team, encompassing hiring, coaching, accountability, leadership growth, capacity planning, and succession planning.
• Manage the department’s P&L, headcount, KPIs, annual budget contributions, staffing, scope, margins, and growth through expansion and new service offerings.
• Proactively engage with clients to identify challenges, opportunities, sentiments, and potential areas for additional work.
• Generate qualified leads, introductions, and closed deals through industry relationships, LinkedIn, events, and collaboration with the Sales team.
• Collaborate with Leadership and Sales to effectively package and price AEO & SEO services.
• Own the AEO & SEO perspective, measurement philosophy, playbooks, and direction of methodologies.
• Drive AI integration by establishing standards and developing tools, workflows, and agents to automate repetitive tasks.
• Define and uphold excellence standards for research, strategy, reporting, and quality assurance of deliverables.
• Ensure client health across the portfolio in collaboration with Account Management, Digital PR, and Editorial leaders.
• Report directly to the Chief Client Officer and work alongside Directors, Account Management, founders, and Sales.
• 7+ years of experience in SEO and organic growth.
• Significant hands-on AEO work within the last 18-24 months.
• Familiarity with AI visibility tools such as Peec or Profound.
• Ability to articulate visibility, share of voice, citations, and provide recommendations.
• Strong perspective on AI search, how AI models formulate answers, and strategies for enhancing visibility.
• Experience leading multi-level teams, including managers or team leads.
• Proven track record of owning a P&L, developing annual budgets, and achieving GPM targets.
• Commercial mindset: adept at linking organic work to pipeline and revenue while defending attribution approaches to a discerning C-suite.
• Established industry network and market presence.
• Player-coach capable of conveying complex ideas to analysts and CMOs.
• Experience in driving AI adoption and implementing agents and automations for AEO and SEO tasks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in an agency setting and/or in-house B2B roles.
• Proficient in presenting to CMOs, CEOs, and VPs.
• Application must include passcode AEO2026.
