This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Design and spearhead Optiv's enterprise marketing programs and events strategy.
• Manage Optiv's extensive portfolio of corporate, national, regional, partner, client, executive, industry, internal, and CSR events.
• Create a multi-year roadmap that promotes pipeline growth, enhances customer engagement, aligns with partners, and differentiates the market.
• Establish governance for the portfolio, including prioritization, investment criteria, operating standards, and frameworks for measurement.
• Guarantee consistent brand experiences, operational excellence, and measurable outcomes across various event types and regions.
• Provide guidance to senior and executive leaders regarding program strategy, audience engagement, and investment choices.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and assessment of integrated corporate, national, and regional marketing programs.
• Craft and implement curated marketing experiences linked to campaigns, corporate initiatives, regional growth, and partner activities.
• Collaborate with Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, Field Marketing, Brand and Communications, Creative, Digital Marketing, Content, and Marketing Operations teams.
• Work closely with Sales GTM leadership and regional sales leaders to deliver programs that support pipeline development, acceleration, and conversion.
• Supervise event prospectuses, sponsorship packages, budgets, contract negotiations, reconciliations, event recaps, and performance reporting.
• Manage Optiv's company merchandise program, covering budget, vendors, product strategy, inventory, and internal support.
• Oversee the marketing program budget and MDF forecast; collaborate on MDF, DDF, PDF, and BDF generation.
• Cultivate OEM and alliance relationships while expanding co-marketing and funding opportunities.
• Direct joint marketing plans that support business initiatives, technology solutions, solution priorities, and co-innovation efforts.
• Organize executive roundtables, advisory forums, and engagements with industry stakeholders.
• Lead the planning and strategy for Optiv Kick Off, focusing on content, logistics, executive engagement, sponsorships, partner participation, budget, attendee experience, and evaluation.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets associated with events, marketing programs, internal gatherings, sponsorships, and CSR initiatives.
• Set KPIs and deliver executive reporting on performance, engagement, pipeline contributions, sponsorship utilization, value delivery, and ROI.
• Analyze results and market insights to optimize the portfolio and reallocate resources effectively.
• Assess and adopt event technology, automation, and measurement capabilities.
• Lead relationships with agencies, contractors, and vendors, including selection, negotiation, performance management, and financial stewardship.
• Mentor, train, and develop a high-performing marketing programs and events team.
• Define team priorities, objectives, metrics, operating models, and standards.
• Enhance team capabilities through coaching, performance management, career development, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee event agencies, contractors, consultants, and surge resources.
• Adhere to policies and standards while performing additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, field marketing, or marketing programs within a complex B2B environment.
• 4–7 years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including remote or hybrid teams.
• Proven success in managing large-scale enterprise event portfolios and integrated marketing programs with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in cybersecurity, technology, consulting, or professional services is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets, sponsorships, and partner-funded initiatives, including MDF, Co-Op, and BDF.
• Experience in advising and collaborating with senior and executive leaders while influencing decisions across a matrixed organization.
• Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM, financial, and event management platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, NetSuite, Cvent, or similar tools.
• Strategic leadership skills, business acumen, and the capability to translate enterprise objectives into actionable programs and portfolio decisions.
• Expertise in event strategy, experiential marketing, integrated marketing programs, demand generation, pipeline measurement, and marketing attribution.
• Strong executive presence along with exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient financial, analytical, organizational, project management, and operational planning skills.
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and foster alignment across complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for planning, site visits, corporate and industry events, executive engagement, and onsite event leadership.
