This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the team tasked with transforming how Leidos Energy generates and delivers unique value through technology.
β’ Recognize challenges and opportunities where technology can significantly enhance results.
β’ Evaluate opportunities based on their value, feasibility, risk, implementation effort, and scalability.
β’ Quickly assess whether opportunities should be expanded, redirected, or phased out.
β’ Lead swift development, experimentation, prototyping, and testing processes.
β’ Decide whether to build, purchase, configure, integrate, partner, or repurpose capabilities.
β’ Integrate user feedback and operational realities throughout the development process.
β’ Manage the progression from identified opportunity to operational deployment.
β’ Address technical, security, workflow, adoption, and organizational needs for successful implementation.
β’ Collaborate with Operations & Sustainment to transition capabilities into ongoing operations and support.
β’ Create a repeatable method for moving from problem identification to evidence gathering to deployed capability.
β’ Oversee the organization, portfolio, resources, investments, and partnerships.
β’ Provide insights to the Energy CTO and Business Area leadership regarding opportunities, progress, risks, investments, and realized value.
β’ Build a motivated, engaged team and foster the development of individuals and leaders across the Energy organization.
β’ A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical field, along with 12+ years of relevant professional experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
β’ Proven experience in leading and developing technical organizations and multidisciplinary teams, including nurturing technical leaders.
β’ Established track record of advancing multiple technology capabilities, improvements, or technology-driven changes from concept or experimentation to successful operational implementation.
β’ Demonstrated ability to identify high-impact problems, assess alternative solutions, and utilize evidence to scale, redirect, or terminate technology investments.
β’ Capability to clearly articulate technology decisions, evidence, risks, and trade-offs to senior business and technical leaders, and to lead effectively across organizational boundaries.
β’ Preferred: Masterβs degree in a relevant technical or business field.
β’ Preferred: Profound understanding of the energy, utility, engineering, or another engineering-centric industry.
β’ Preferred: Experience in swiftly developing and scaling technology-driven improvements within a complex or highly regulated environment.
β’ Preferred: Successful operational experience in a large, matrixed organization.
