Director, Indirect Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Create and implement global sourcing and category strategies that provide value, cost savings, and long-term advantages for the business.

• Oversee the processes of supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, onboarding, governance, and continuous performance management.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure procurement initiatives are in line with business priorities and strategic goals.

• Foster supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, sustainability, and ongoing enhancement across indirect categories.

• Discover and apply innovative procurement solutions that enhance total cost of ownership, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

• Lead and nurture procurement talent while promoting a high-performance and collaborative work culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

• A master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in indirect procurement and category management within a global manufacturing setting.

• Demonstrated capability to formulate sourcing strategies, manage supplier partnerships, and achieve measurable procurement outcomes.

• Strong analytical skills to convert market intelligence, spending data, and business needs into actionable strategies.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and influencing abilities in an international context.

• A strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Proven leadership skills with a history of team development and achieving results.
