This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and maintain the quality and integrity of AP Statistics examinations, course curriculum, and professional development materials.
• Oversee the development and scoring of assessments for AP Statistics.
• Create, edit, manage, and evaluate formative and summative assessment content along with scoring resources.
• Utilize generative AI to create and assess examination content and enhance assessment methodologies.
• Design AP Statistics assessment forms that align with established curricula and testing standards.
• Facilitate in-person, weekend, and virtual meetings with the AP Statistics Test Development Committee.
• Train and oversee committee members while recruiting educators for AP Program roles.
• Direct annual in-person and online AP Reading scoring events and produce associated publications.
• Ensure the validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability of exams.
• Collaborate with psychometricians to determine fair, reliable, and valid cut scores.
• Refine and enhance the AP Statistics Course Framework.
• Support the development of new AP Statistics products, prototypes, market tests, and development models.
• Engage with educators to promote teacher satisfaction with AP Statistics and its assessments.
• Work with Professional Learning teams to assist AP Statistics consultants and educators.
• Collaborate with Higher Education teams to increase awareness of AP Statistics in colleges and universities.
• Recruit college faculty for AP Reading and support AP Faculty Colloquia and Fellows Programs.
• Present, speak, and facilitate discussions with academic and membership groups as required.
• Master's degree in Statistics or a closely related field (mandatory).
• Awareness of current trends in Statistics.
• Doctorate in the discipline is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Statistics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or similar roles.
• Experience with digital assessments and teaching is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong technical skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Outstanding organizational and planning capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, including proofreading.
• Ability to implement processes and procedures, manage project timelines, and maintain tracking documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Effectively work across various levels and engage in constructive feedback.
• Willingness to travel 6–8 times a year, plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.
