This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Ensure the quality and integrity of AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism exams, curriculum, and professional development materials.
β’ Oversee the creation and scoring processes for assessments related to AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism.
β’ Create, modify, evaluate, and manage both formative and summative assessment content and scoring resources.
β’ Utilize generative AI to assist in the creation and evaluation of assessment materials and enhance assessment workflows.
β’ Design assessment formats that align with approved curricula and testing specifications.
β’ Facilitate Test Development Committee meetings and address content revisions post-meeting.
β’ Train and oversee members of the Test Development Committee and recruit educator contributors.
β’ Lead annual AP Reading scoring events and generate publications for educators and students.
β’ Supervise the validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader consistency of the exams.
β’ Collaborate with psychometricians to set fair, reliable, and valid cut scores.
β’ Enhance the AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism Course Framework.
β’ Assist in the development and market testing of new AP offerings.
β’ Engage with educators to enhance teacher satisfaction regarding the course and exam.
β’ Provide support to AP consultants and educators through the Professional Learning team.
β’ Work together with Higher Education teams to boost college and university awareness.
β’ Recruit college faculty for AP Reading and support AP Faculty Colloquia and fellowship initiatives.
β’ Present, speak, and moderate discussions with academic and membership audiences as required.
β’ A Masterβs degree in Physics or a closely related field (required).
β’ Awareness of current trends in Physics or a closely related field.
β’ A Doctorate in the field is strongly preferred.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or a related role.
β’ Preferred experience with digital assessments and teaching methodologies.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Strong technical skills.
β’ Customer-oriented approach.
β’ Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
β’ Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a keen attention to detail, including proofreading.
β’ Competence in implementing processes and procedures.
β’ Ability to manage project timelines and documentation effectively.
β’ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
β’ Capability to work effectively across various levels and engage in constructive feedback.
β’ Willingness to travel 6β8 times per year, plus an additional two weeks for the AP Reading.
β’ Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.

β’ Willingness to learn and independently apply new digital tools proactively.
