This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the multi-year global product portfolio strategy and roadmap for the Evoke platform and related opportunities.
• Evaluate portfolio performance, lifecycle status, and identify potential growth areas; provide recommendations on investments, continuations, and discontinuations.
• Direct portfolio planning and prioritization in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Keep track of competitive developments, emerging technologies, and clinical trends in neuromodulation and related therapy sectors.
• Identify and confirm unmet needs through customer feedback, KOL interactions, procedural observations, and market research.
• Convert market insights into product requirements, target product profiles, and user needs documentation for R&D.
• Construct and advocate for business cases for new product ideas, including market sizing, adoption forecasts, pricing assumptions, and financial projections.
• Act as the marketing lead on phase-gate development teams throughout design, verification, and validation stages.
• Collaborate with Clinical and Regulatory teams on evidence strategy and claims development.
• Establish global launch strategies, positioning, and geographic sequencing for pipeline products in both U.S. and OUS markets.
• Oversee the transition to Downstream Marketing and Sales, ensuring that launch strategies, claims, and training foundations are effectively established.
• Support limited market releases and early evaluation programs; collect feedback and facilitate iterations.
• Serve as the expert on global market dynamics, market models, share tracking, customer segmentation, and procedural trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs and physician advisory groups.
• Mentor and nurture upstream marketing talent; manage direct reports as assigned.
• Advocate for the voice of the customer in executive forums, portfolio assessments, and board discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or life sciences.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in medical device marketing with a significant focus on upstream/portfolio responsibilities.
• Experience in neuromodulation, spine, or active implantable devices is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully guiding multiple products from conception through development to launch as the upstream marketing lead.
• Familiarity with design control/phase-gate development processes and effective collaboration with R&D.
• Strong expertise in market modeling, business case formulation, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated skills in voice-of-customer and KOL engagement, including managing physician advisory boards and conducting field research.
• Experience in assessing, prioritizing, and facilitating launches in international markets, taking into account regulatory and reimbursement aspects by region.
• Possess executive presence and communication skills; comfortable presenting portfolio strategies to senior leadership.
• Experience with data-driven or closed-loop technologies, digital health, or products that incorporate software/data components is preferable.
• Previous experience in a growth-stage company transitioning from a single platform to a more extensive portfolio is advantageous.
