Director, Global Technical Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical aspects of respiratory products manufactured externally and manage selected global key brands.

• Design and implement technology-transfer projects that are in line with commercial launch objectives.

• Enhance the robustness, efficiency, right-first-time performance, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with Respiratory R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and other departments to oversee contract manufacturing.

• Act as the technical liaison for contract manufacturing organizations, assessing technical performance and capacity in relation to demand.

• Manage contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), vendors, project timelines, budgets, risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

• Provide support between Process Development and Manufacturing Operations for the GMP implementation of new processes and technologies.

• Lead investigations, determine root causes, and ensure closure of CAPA for external GMP manufacturing operations.

• Identify and formulate business cases for enhancements in quality, safety, productivity, reliability, technology, and cost.

• Serve as a subject-matter expert, enhance the technical proficiency of colleagues, and promote continuous improvement and innovation in new technology/products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related scientific discipline is required, along with relevant experience; related experience and/or education may be taken into account.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical development and GMP manufacturing, ideally for respiratory products.

• Experience in at least one of the following product categories: OINDP, parenteral, blow-fill-seal, vaccine, or drug/device combinations.

• Capability to plan, coordinate, and implement experimental plans, particularly in commercial plants.

• Experience in statistical analysis and reporting findings to technical and senior leadership stakeholders.

• Ability to build, lead, and technically manage matrix teams responsible for the delivery of complex products.

• Proven skills in influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution, and managing stakeholder/senior leader relationships.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.

• Ability to work remotely from the UK, Europe, or the United States.
